the winchesters arrive in beacon hills to investigate a number of events dating back a year, all seeming to involve werewolves. to their surprise, a group of students appear to not only be aware of the supernatural elements in their town but also seems to play a large role in them. in the midst of attempting to figure out who’s a threat and who isn’t, castiel appears - showing an interest in the young huntress allison and her talents. the brothers continue working with stiles stilinski, who has taken on the role of a middle man, hoping to solve the recent spike in murders which the younger man insists isn’t any of his friends’ fault.

The first two weeks are nothing but caffeine and stiff muscles. Derek never liked Laura’s pickup and he likes it less when he’s been in it for days watching the terrain shift and change as it drifts by outside his window. He catches sleep in brief moments with his head pressed against the cool glass, but it’s not enough. They’re quiet, mostly, and the silence is stifling but he can’t find any words to offer her, and she hasn’t stopped smelling like fear since that morning at school when she became the alpha and they both knew, immediately, that something was horribly wrong.
